The Galileo's World exhibit, part of the University of Oklahoma's 125th Anniversary celebratory campaign, has been an absolutely thrilling project to be a part of. As part of OU Libraries' Web Services, I designed and coded the front-end, user interface for the Galileo's World website. The custom Drupal theme is built upon the Bootstrap 3 framework, and designed with functionality and high visual impact and aesthetics in mind.
One of my first main projects as part of OU Libraries' Web Services team was the redesign and visual overhaul of the Libraries' website. Of vital importance were aspects such as mobile responsiveness and enhanced UX design for a smoother visitor experience. We also wanted to incorporate some familiar elements of the previous site (ie. colors, menu structure) in order to make the transition as easy as possible for legacy users. The custom Drupal theme is built upon the Bootstrap 3 framework, and designed with functionality and high visual impact and aesthetics in mind.
